Crash at intersection of U.S. Route 33 and Bay Road

MOULTON TOWNSHIP, OH, (April 25, 2024) - One person died and another was seriously injured in a two-vehicle accident Thursday morning in Moulton Township.

One person died and another was seriously injured in a two-vehicle accident Thursday morning in Moulton Township.Gage Stein was seriously hurt in a crash involving a Honda Accord and Kenworth tanker at U.S. Route 33 and Bay Road.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, an 18-year-old Celina resident was driving a Honda Accord east on U.S. Route 33 just before 3 a.m. when it rear-ended a Kenworth tanker turning left from Bay Road to westbound U.S. 33.

The 18-year-old died from injuries suffered in the crash. A passenger, Gage Stein, 19, of Celina, was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.

ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION NEEDED

Candice Bond, an experienced auto accident attorney, said in cases such as this that an independent probe should be conducted to protect a victim’s rights.

“Road conditions, visibility, and lighting are all possible contributing factors considered and examined,” said Bond, Managing Partner at Bond Legal. “An accident reconstruction team is sometimes needed to help piece together what happened. All of these resources are necessary for helping clients receive monetary compensation for damages or a loss following a collision.”

Vehicle crashes injure roughly 1.9 million people every year in the United States. Speeding; the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication; failure to stay in the proper lane; failure to yield the right of way; and distracted driving are typical causes of such crashes, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

PERSONAL INJURY CLAIM

Pending results of the investigation, Gage Stein may be entitled to a personal injury claim for damages covering medical and rehabilitation costs, lost wages, pain and suffering, and emotional trauma.

“Injured victims involved in a collision often seek a personal injury claim to cover the cost of various expenses,” said Stefano Formica, Of Counsel at Bond Legal. "Insurance companies can be notoriously unconcerned with the mounting costs that an injured party may accrue. An attorney can help. We protect the victims of these tragedies daily, forcing the insurance companies to pay for their mistakes.”
