Marion Township Two-Vehicle Accident May 3rd; Jacquale F. Gabbard Injured in Car CrashJacquale F. Gabbard was injured in a two-vehicle accident on Friday in Marion Township.

The accident remains under investigation.

CRASH INVESTIGATION NEEDED

The OSHP will release a full report at the conclusion of its probe into the accident that left Ms. Gabbard injured.

Meantime, Candice Bond, Managing Partner at Bond Legal, has said in such cases that it is also important for a full independent investigation to be conducted by an experienced attorney to protect evidence and a victim’s rights.

Bond, national analyst for The Legal Advocate, stressed that no amount of money will compensate for the physical and emotional toll that accident victims endure. Still, it's imperative that victims are properly represented.

“Insurance companies often try to pressure victims to settle for a quick payout for far less than the case is worth,” Bond added. “They are financially motivated to limit compensation and do not factor in the long-term consequences and suffering those victims will ultimately experience. Attorneys vigorously advocate for their clients to ensure that they are treated with respect and compensated fairly.”

Each year, roughly 36,000 people die, and another 1.9 million people are injured in motor vehicle accidents in this country. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, speeding was the primary cause of fatal crashes in 2018, followed by the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication; failure to stay in the proper lane; failure to yield the right of way; and distracted driving.

PERSONAL INJURY CLAIM

Pending the results of the investigation, Jacquale F. Gabbard may have the right to pursue a personal injury lawsuit. Stefano Formica, Of Counsel with Bond Legal, noted that the stress and worry following a serious injury can be overwhelming, disrupting all aspects of life, including family, work, finances, and overall quality of life.

“It is vital for victims to hire an attorney when filing a personal injury claim, which allows them to negotiate with an insurance company on the behalf of a client,” Formica added. “Insurance companies often try to pressure victims to settle for a quick payout for far less than the case is worth. However, an attorney will vigorously advocate for their client to ensure that they are treated with respect and compensated fairly.”
